The Ballerina Management Institute Trust (BMIT) Pune, was started in 1997 by Mrs.Ratna Joshi to find solutions to the issues affecting the urban and rural poor, with a special focus on children and education. We work in and around Pune, India, especially in rural and tribal areas.
Ballerina Management institute (BMI Trust) has been granted SPECIAL CONSULTATIVE STATUS with the UNITED NATIONS ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL (ECOSOC)

Swapnasrusti !

Devoted For Sustainable living and protection of the Earth. We promote environmental awareness through lectures and interactive sessions. We organize tree plantation campaigns, cleanliness drives and other environmental programs in all the villages we work in. We organize free dental checkups, diabetic checkups, eye checkups and general checkups for the villagers. We also conduct blood donation campaigns. We promote the importance of maintaining our health through lectures by experts and interactive and counseling sessions.

Our Program  includes

  1. Guidance to students for protection of our environment.
  2. Study of alternatives for electricity, water, sewage.
  3. Tree plantation drives
  4. Cleanliness drives in the rural areas
  5. Lectures on personal hygiene and how to keep the environment clean and healthy

# Others:

  1. Till date we have offered counseling and guidance to more than 2000 people.
  2. We have directed around 350 students to go abroad for their higher education.
  3. We have offered career guidance and advice to more than 100 students.
  4. ‘Guts for change’, a German NGO visited BMIT in December, 2012.
  5. We have started tuitions for unprivileged students in Gurgaon, Delhi, taken by Mrs. RashmiTiwari, for the development of these children and their families
